Were you in foster care during 2020 or 2021?

Are you at least age 17 today?

Have you had a Social Security card for at least 3 years?

If you answer “yes” to all 3 questions, you may have money waiting for you!  Please read on:

Remember the COVID-19 stimulus money from 2020 and 2021?  An IRS Reminder is calling for everyone who’s still eligible to file their tax returns now, to claim their stimulus money (also called the Recovery Rebate Credit).

Every U.S. citizen and permanent resident is entitled.  If you were living with parents – adoptive, foster or birth parents – your parents received the stimulus money as your caregivers.

HOWEVER, did you live in a group home for more than half of either 2020 or 2021?  If you did, please click to complete a Google Form to add your name to our list, for help with your IRS tax returns to claim your stimulus money.

If you did not, INSTEAD, did you live with the same adoptive, foster or birth parent(s) for less than half of either 2020 or 2021?  If so, for either 2020 or 2021, please click to complete the same Google Form to add your name to our list, for help with your IRS tax returns.

Once you’ve signed up, a volunteer will let you know what the next step is.  Our group of IRS-approved tax-filing specialists will be scheduling appointments around the Valley between April 15th and May 17th to help you with filing your taxes.

If you’re unsure if you qualify, please complete the Google Form, anyway, and we’ll get back to you.  If you have any other questions, please email us at  bob.bessen@mastersofcoin.org
